After leaving Christ’s Hospital (CH), I began pursuing my goals at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada (how I ended up there is a completely different story)! The first year went by without a hitch but as my dream turned more into a reality, my financial situation got a little complicated. That’s when a good friend of mine pointed me to the Benevolent Society of Blues (BSB).
Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am to the BSB and how blessed I am to have gone to CH. It shows that this is a school and a charity that really wants to see their Old Blues succeed beyond the school walls.
With the help of the BSB I graduated with a bachelor of science in pharmacy and was able to successfully pass all my licensing exams to become a fully licensed pharmacist in the summer of 2019.
Knowledge of the BSB came to me at the perfect time. The work this charity does is an absolute godsend and I hope my story helps someone else who might need a little boost to also reach out to them and thus turn those dreams into a reality.
