Holiday Support

Helping Blues in need, hardship or distress

Very often when a young person is at boarding school, it is the holidays that can be the most testing time for them. The BSB helps those who perhaps find the holidays a long and daunting prospect. In recent times this has been exacerbated by the Pandemic.

“Due to a difficult relationship with my parent, during the school holidays I often find myself without a stable, comfortable place to stay. The BSB helped me to find suitable accommodation and paid for me to stay there during the long Michaelmas half term, whilst also funding my living expenses. The BSB put a safe roof over my head at a time when it was most needed and I’m incredibly thankful”

Support has been given in the form of food parcels, IT equipment (for remote learning) and emergency accommodation when families perhaps need “time out” from each other to reassess their relationships.

“The BSB has helped me get through difficult patches in my home life, for example food problems and a lack of support at home, which has made life easier to handle, with the assistance they give me for the present and the future, and the alternatives they offer, I have far less to worry about.”
It could not be easier to make an application to the BSB. If you, or anyone you know who qualifies, would like to seek financial assistance, click apply now
